On Friday night we captured the McInerney cup in a dramatic 17-14 win against a very committed Richmond 15 in front of a large crowd in Fitzgerald Park.
We came away from the first half trailing on a score line of 9-3 to Richmond. Thomond upped their game in the second half with further tries from from Aiden Ryan and Lee O’Neil, Penalty Jason Keane and two conversions. Richmond scored a try near the end to set up a nail biting finish but Thomond held out for victory.
